The applicant must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in an agricultural discipline with a strong academic record. The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable cattle rancher with excellent leadership and business management skills, an understanding of wildlife and hunting, and some experience in farming. The applicant should have a minimum of ten years experience at the general-manager or assistant-manager level in a large (over 1500 head), successful cow-calf operation. Skills required include basic computer skills (ability to use email and Microsoft Excel), and a basic knowledge of ranch Spanish. The General Manager shall live on the Ranch in a house provided by the Ranch and report and be accountable to out-of-state Ranch owners. Reporting directly to the General Manager are a cattle foreman and wildlife manager. Good salary, housing, and benefits for the right person.
