Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in Central Texas for July delivery two loads of No. 1 crossbred steers to weigh 700 pounds at $85; in the Texas Panhandle for May delivery four loads of No. 1 English and exotic cross steers to weigh 750 at $84.50; in Western Oklahoma for April delivery two loads of similar heifers to weigh 725 at $80.50; from a West Texas growing yard for current delivery two loads of No. 1 Okie steers weighing 700 at $83.50.

USDA reports 7075 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including: for June delivery medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 750 pounds at $84 and heifers to weigh 700 at $82; for May similar steers to weigh 800 pounds at $84; for April steers to weigh 750 at $83-84 and heifers to weigh 725-735 at $79-79.50; for March steers to weigh 850 at $81.50; for current delivery steers weighing 725-750 at $83-85.50 and 800-840 pounds at $82-84, also heifers weighing 725 at $80.

Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as confirmed by USDA totaled 1400 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 600-650 pounds brought $91 f.o.b. Oregon and 800-900 pounds $80-81 f.o.b. Washington and Oregon; similar heifers weighing 700-800 pounds were $78-79 f.o.b. Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

Montana direct feeder cattle trade by USDA count came to 1583 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 575 pounds were $94, 650 pounds $92.75-93 and 800-850 pounds $82-83; similar heifers weighing 475-500 were $96-98 and a string weighing 750 pounds $80.50, all f.o.b. for current delivery.

USDA reports 7850 head of feeder cattle selling off Oklahoma range, including: for August delivery medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 800 pounds at $82.50; for July similar steers to weigh 675 at $89.50; for June steers to weigh 675 at $89.50 and 800 at $82.50, also heifers to weigh 700-750 at $80-82; for May steers to weigh 750 at $84-85.50; for April steers to weigh 750 at $84 and heifers to weigh 735 at $79; for March steers to weigh 750-850 at $83-83.75; for February steers to weigh 785 at $83 and heifers to weigh 750 at $77; for current delivery steers weighing 565 at $95.50, 750 pounds at $84.50 and 800-825 pounds at $83-84.50, plus heifers weighing 650 at $84.

Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 600-650 pounds were $94-97, 750 pounds $85-87, and a string weighing 825 pounds $85; similar heifers weighing 580 pounds were $90 and a string weighing 640 pounds $90, all f.o.b. for current delivery.
