Most Junction Sheep,
Goat Prices Higher

JUNCTION —(Jan. 31)— Feeder lambs sold steady to $2 higher, slaughter lambs untested, slaughter ewes steady to $2 higher, stock ewes steady to 2 higher; Angora goats $4-6 higher except thin nannies steady; slaughter Spanish goats mostly steady, kids $2-4 higher. Receipts totaled 2704 head.

Sheep: medium and large No. 1 newcrop feeder lambs 40-60 lbs. $100-110, 60-100 lbs. $85-90.50; utility to good 2-3 slaughter ewes $42-51, bucks $31.50-35, lot two year-olds $55; medium and large 1-2 stock ewes $34.50-42.

Barbados: lambs 40-60 lbs. $81-91, ewes 90-110 lbs. $50-54.

Angora goats: choice and prime slaughter kids 15-35 lbs. $87-99, 35-65 lbs. $81-94, fancy $102-109, muttons 75-150 lbs. $58-62.50, nannies 50-100 lbs. $60-75.

Spanish goats: young stock nannies $55-60, lot $72 per head, billies $75-86; choice and prime slaughter kids and yearlings 15-35 lbs. $87-96, 35-75 lbs. $88.50-96, nannies 75-100 lbs. $53.50-62, muttons and billies 100-150 lbs. $75-86; nannies with kids $28.50-32.50 each.
