Domestic Wool Slow,
Aussie Wools Lower

GREELEY, Colo. —(USDA)— Wool trading was at a standstill across the country last week, demand and seller interest remaining light. Weather across many states delayed spring shearing.

In Texas, 38,000 pounds sold with 19.5-21.5 micron bellies at 22 cents, clippings and pieces 14-15 cents and tags 10 cents; in Colorado, 80,000 pounds of lamb wool of 19.5-21 micron, 1.5-2.8 inch, high yielding, made 20 cents grease; in Montana, 75,000 pounds of 22-23 micron, three inch, bellies out and untied, made 30 cents grease, f.o.b. the producer, bellies 10 cents.

Australia's eastern market indicator closed down one cent at 633A cents per kilo clean. The 21 micron grease wool contract for February was down one cent at 571A, April

down four at 592, June unchanged at 618, and August down six at 687.

No information was available from New Zealand wool sales.
