Colorado City Feeder
Steers, Heifers Higher

COLORADO CITY —(Sept. 23)— Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $3 higher, slaughter cows steady to $1 lower, bulls steady, bred stock cows weak, pairs steady. Receipts totaled 1202 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $94.50-106, 400-500 lbs. $90-98, 500-600 lbs. $86-90.50, 700-800 lbs. $73-77.50.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $86.50-95.50, 400-500 lbs. $81-86, 500-600 lbs. $78-82.50, 600-700 lbs. $78-79, 700-800 lbs. $72-75.50, lot 700 lbs. $79.50.

Slaughter cows: breakers $33-38, boners $33-39.50, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $30-35, 800-1000 lbs. $29-34, under 800 lbs. $27-30; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $45-50.50, high dressing $52-52.50, 1000-1300 lbs. $44-44.50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 850-1350 lbs. 3-7 months bred $480-580 per head, aged 900-1400 lbs. 3-6 months bred $400-480; medium and large 1-2 young 900-1100 lb. cows with 200-300 lb. calves $705-720 per pair, aged 900-1400 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $525-610.
