Dear Editor,
Isn't it time to name all the wildfires "The Clinton, Gore, Babbitt Blazes?" Or, do Democrats who support and voted for no logging, no lumber and no roads claim the honors? Some honor should be claimed by Sierra Club, Defenders of Wildlife, EPA, Forest Guardians and other enviro-extremist groups for their Lock-the-Land-Up-and-Let-It-Die policies.

What are they going to do with the Spotty Owl and the plague-carrying rodents called black-tailed prairie dogs? Will they all be rounded up and shipped to new areas to burn? They could spend millions as there are 15 million prairie dogs and I've read they can't get a count on the Spotty Owl. Maybe they could buy logging trucks they put out of work for the owls to roost on! I have pictures of a Spotty Owl roosting on a timber truck.

By the way, haven't the old and handicapped been discriminated and ruled out of the wilderness areas with no roads and no vehicles? Will they be allowed in the Clinton, Gore, Babbitt Blaze-burned areas? What happened to the 43 million more acres they were ready to declare as wilderness monuments with no roads? Will these lands be held back for the next round of fires? The dirty 30s had several years of drouth, so maybe we have some really big fires down the road if Gore's elected.
