Abilene Feeder Steer,
Heifer Prices Steady

ABILENE —(Dec. 5)— Feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady to instances $2 lower, slaughter cows and bulls mostly steady, stock cows and pairs steady to $20 lower. Receipts totaled 1479 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $117-125, 300-400 lbs. $116-121, 400-500 lbs. $107-112, 500-600 lbs. $94-99, 600-700 lbs. $85-9l, 700-800 lbs. $83-87; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $107-115, 400-500 lbs. $99-106, 500-600 lbs. $87-93.50, 600-700 lbs. $80.50-84.50, 700-800 lbs. $75-80.50.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $101-106, 400-500 lbs. $91-98, 500-600 lbs. $80-86, 600-700 lbs. $75-80; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $100-110, 400-500 lbs. $89-96, 500-600 lbs. $81-85.50, 600-700 lbs. $79.50-83.

Slaughter cows: boners $40-44, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $35.50-40, 800-1000 lbs. $32-36.50, under 750 lbs. $26-30; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $49-50, 1000-1300 lbs. $43-47.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 1110-1485 lbs. 4-7 months bred $490-680 per head; medium and large 1-2 young 1120-1400 lb. cows with 150-250 lb. calves $640-740 per pair.
