Milano Feeder Steers,
Heifers Sharply Higher

MILANO —(Feb. 13)— Feeder steers weighing less than 400 pounds sold $3-5 higher, heavier weights $1-4 higher, heifers under 400 pounds $3-4 higher, heavier weights steady to firm, slaughter cows steady, bulls steady to $1 higher. Receipts totaled 521 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $140-147.50, 300-400 lbs. $132.50-142.50, 400-500 lbs. $105-115, 500-600 lbs. $101-106, 600-700 lbs. $90-97, few $99-104, 700-800 lbs. $81-88; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $127.50-135, 300-400 lbs. $113-121, 400-500 lbs. $99-105, 500-600 lbs. $92-99, 600-700 lbs. $82-89, 700-800 lbs. $76-78.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $117.50-125, 300-400 lbs. $109-117.50, few $120-121, 400-500 lbs. $97-105, few to $110, 500-600 lbs. $89-95, 600-700 lbs. $86-93, few $94-96.50; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $110-115, 300-400 lbs. $100-106, 400-500 lbs. $91-97, 500-600 lbs. $87-90, 600-700 lbs. $78-81.

Slaughter cows: boners $40-45.50, high dressing $46.50-47, lean 1000-1350 lbs. $37.50-44, 800-1000 lbs. $38-43.50; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1400-2100 lbs. $50-54, high dressing 1800 lbs. $58.50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged cows 900-1300 lbs. bred 4-7 months $50-60; medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 950-1200 lb. cows with 150-325 lb. calves $750-880 per pair.
