Ty Jones Cattle Co., Canyon, bought for May delivery 180 No. 1 steers to weigh 625 pounds at $91, also 150 No. 1 steers to weigh 700 at $89; for current delivery 300 No. 1 steers weighing 750 at $86 and 150 heifer mates weighing 700 at $82.

Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in Central Texas for current delivery one load of No. 1 English and exotic cross steers weighing 775 pounds at $84, also a load of similar heifers weighing 725 at $80.

USDA reports 4425 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including: for June and July delivery medium and large No. 1-2 heifers to weigh 750 pounds at $81.50; for June medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 725-800 at $84.50-87.50; for May steers to weigh 775 at $87.50 and heifers to weigh 725 at $82.50; for current delivery steers weighing 625 at $92.50, 750-790 pounds at $84.50-87, and 800 pounds at $83-86, also similar heifers weighing 725 at $83.50.

Northwest direct feeder cattle trade as confirmed by USDA totaled 500 head. Medium and large No. 1-2 steers weighing 800-825 pounds were $83 f.o.b. Washington and Idaho; similar heifers weighing 700-800 were $79-83 f.o.b. Idaho.

USDA reports 3480 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Colorado range, all for current delivery. Included are 1050 fancy medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 650-675 pounds at $98-100 delivery, 325 similar steers weighing 825 at $84 delivered, 160 similar heifers weighing 675 at $90 f.o.b., 70 heifers weighing 675 at $90.50 delivered, 400 fancy heifers weighing 650 at $95 delivered, 210 heifers weighing 725 at $83.50 delivered, 315 heifers weighing 775 at $80.50 delivered, 400 heifers weighing 800 at $79.75 delivered, and 300 heifers weighing 500 at $103 f.o.b.

New Mexico direct feeder cattle trade by USDA count came to 6600 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 550 pounds for May delivery brought $107; similar steers for current delivery weighing 300 pounds were $130, 425-450 pounds $120-127 and 575 pounds $98, all delivered prices, plus 300 pounds $130, 700-725 pounds $89.50-90 and 800 pounds $82, all f.o.b.; similar heifers weighing 350 pounds were $115, 425 pounds $105 and 525-575 pounds $90-95, all delivered, 300 pounds $120 f.o.b.
