  Unregistered Bull
Choice gleanings from 45-plus years of Unregistered Bull
For some reason, Texans have gained a worldwide reputation for being very shut-mouthed or very big liars. Generally, they’re represented as being windy as March in Amarillo, especially when talking about their native state.

There is a lot of talk these days about "sharing the wealth". Some bleeding hearts think we ought to divide what we have with those nations that don't have much. That way we would all have a fair amount and everybody would be comfortable.

Pennsylvania sign painters do good work until time comes to setting the arrow. Signs going to the summit of "Lookout Peak" point toward the dropoff at "Angel Falls." At $35 to half-sole a pair of boots and the same amount of dough to top off a gas tank, the cheapest way to get around the state is to hire a guide. Just be sure he’s not connected to the state’s highway department, or you may be added to the missing person file.

On The Edge Of Common Sense

As I See It ...
We've always admired Pest Control's housecat manners. She never steps foot into the kitchen; she stays off the table; the wastebasket full of good smells doesn't tempt her; and she never begs for table scraps. I think she's spoiled us.
I can't say the same for our new cat, Yard Kitty.

Its The Pitts
As a Greenhand in the FFA my first project was raising two feeder lambs. After cleaning their pen daily for 90 days, always making sure they had plenty of alfalfa hay and cull lima beans, and generally treating the lambs like they were family, I lost $13 apiece. It was a good introduction to the livestock business.

Tuckered ...
as in "I’m plumb tuckered out." Now, being tuckered out is not the same as being "worn out" (same as "wore out") or "beat," although all these expressions are used to convey a state of mental, physical, or emotional fatigue ... sometimes all three.
