USDA reports 2200 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma
range, including: for May delivery medium and large No. 1 heifers to
weigh 650 pounds at $84; for March and April similar steers to weigh
750 at $85; for current delivery steers weighing 550 pounds at $87,
fancy 575 pound black steers at $95, 730-760 pounds $88.60-91.50,
fancy 750 pound northern black steers at $95, and 800-840 pounds
$85-85.50, also heifers weighing 530 pounds at $88.
Northwest direct feeder cattle trade as confirmed by USDA totaled
2000 head. Medium and large No. 1-2 steers weighing 600-700 pounds
brought $88-92 f.o.b. Oregon and Idaho, 775-800 pounds $80-81 f.o.b.
Oregon, 800-900 pounds $79-83 f.o.b. Oregon and Washington; similar
heifers weighing 600-650 pounds were $83 f.o.b. Oregon, 750-775 pounds
$79 f.o.b. Washington, and 850 pounds $76 f.o.b. Oregon.
USDA reports 1800 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Colorado
range, all for current delivery, including 230 medium and large No. 1
steers weighing 675 pounds at $96 f.o.b., 1120 similar steers weighing
825 at $83 f.o.b., and 215 steers weighing 850 at $85.50-87.60
delivered; 75 similar heifers weighing 700 at $87 delivered and 150
heifers weighing 750 at $85.50 delivered.
New Mexico direct feeder cattle trade by USDA count came to 10,000
head, all for current delivery. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing
300 pounds were $130 delivered, 425 pounds $115, and 500-525 pounds
$98-100, similar heifers weighing 300 pounds $120 and 500 pounds $90;
on an f.o.b. basis steers weighing 600-675 were $88-92 and 700-775
pounds $86-88.50, heifers 600 pounds $84 and 700 pounds $80-82.50.
Montana direct feeder cattle trade as tallied by USDA totaled 330
medium and large No. 1 heifers to weigh 510 pounds at $94.75 f.o.b.
for November delivery.
