Angelo Lambs Steady,
Feeder Cattle Steady

SAN ANGELO — Feeder and slaughter lambs sold steady this week, slaughter ewes $2-5 lower, instances $8 lower. Nanny goats sold firm and kids weak. Two day receipts totaled 15,165 head, around 50 percent slaughter ewes, 15 percent slaughter lambs, five percent feeder lambs and 30 percent goats.

Feeder steers and heifers sold steady last week, slaughter cows $2-4 lower, bulls $2-3 lower, stock cows and pairs poorly tested. Receipts totaled 2100 head, around 55 percent feeders, 40 percent slaughter cows and bulls and five percent stock cows and pairs.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 40-60 lbs. $81-82.50, 60-70 lbs. $71-76, 70-80 lbs. $62-70, 80-90 lbs. $55-61, 90-100 lbs. $53-57.50, medium and large No. 2 40-60 lbs. $70-75, 60-70 lbs. $60-70, 70-80 lbs. $50-60.

Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 shorn and wooled 90-135 lbs. $47.50-57, few to $60, 135-165 lbs. $45-49; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $20-30, good 2-3 $29-38, few $40-45, utility and good 1-3 $30-41, few $43-47, utility 1-2 $25-32.50, cull and utility 1-2 $20-27.50, bucks $24-38.

Goats: slaughter meat type billies 100-150 lbs. $60-105 per head, 150-225 lbs. $100-125; nannies 80-125 lbs. $44-55 cwt., thin 70-110 lbs. $38-44, choice and prime kids and yearlings 30-40 lbs. $96-104, 40-80 lbs. $84-94, choice 40-80 lbs. $75-84, good 40-80 lbs. $61-74; stock nannies 60-90 lbs. $58-72.50; good and choice slaughter Angoras 60-100 lbs. $36-38.
