Colorado City Feeder
Cattle Prices Higher

COLORADO CITY —(Sept. 29)— Feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady to $1 higher, slaughter cows $2-3 lower, bulls steady, stock cows and pairs steady. Receipts totaled 873 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $117-124, 300-400 lbs. $114-121, 400-500 lbs. $98-102; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $107.50-115, 300-400 lbs. $104-113, 400-500 lbs. $92-98.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $108-116, 300-400 lbs. $99-107, 400-500 lbs. $92-99, 700-800 lbs. $72-77.25; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $l00-106, 300-400 lbs. $90-99, 400-500 lbs. $83.50-89, 500-600 lbs. $77.50-81, 600-700 lbs. $72.50-76.

Slaughter cows: breakers $36-42, boners $38-44, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $36-41, 800-1000 lbs. $34-40, under 750 lbs. $28.50-35.50; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1-2 1300-2100 lbs. $47-53.75, 1000-1300 lbs. $42.25-45.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 900-1500 lbs. 2-8 months bred $585-690 per head, aged 900-1250 lbs. 3-7 months bred $450-575; medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 1000-1200 lb. cows with 100-400 lb. calves $830-920 per pair, aged 900-1200 lb. cows with 100-300 lb. calves $645-730.
