Angelo Lambs Steady,
Feeder Cattle Higher

SAN ANGELO — All classes of sheep sold steady this week, nanny goats steady, kids weak to $3 lower. Two day receipts totaled 13,337 head, around 55 percent slaughter ewes, 15 percent slaughter lambs, five percent feeder lambs and 25 percent goats.

Feeder steers and heifers sold firm to $1 higher last week, slaughter cows and bulls weak to $1 lower. Receipts totaled 3250 head, around 60 percent feeders, 25 percent slaughter cows and bulls and 15 percent stock cows and pairs.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 50-60 lbs. $84-88, 60-70 lbs. $73-78, 70-80 lbs. $64-71, 80-90 lbs. $60-66, medium and large No. 2 50-60 lbs. $71-75, 60-70 lbs. $65-71, 70-80 lbs. $57-63, 80-90 lbs. $53-59.

Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 shorn and wooled 90-135 lbs. $54-65, few $65-68; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $25-33, good 2-3 $33-42, few $42-44, utility and good 1-3 $40-50, utility 1-2 $30-40, cull and utility 1-2 $21-30, bucks $25-37.50.

Stock ewes: medium and large 1-2 lambs 90-110 lbs. $65-72; babytooth $67-75 per head, solidmouth $62, mixed age 100-130 lbs. $50-55 cwt.

Goats: slaughter meat type billies 100-150 lbs. $70-100 per head, 150-250 lbs. $100-120; nannies 70-130 lbs. $50-61 cwt., thin 70-110 lbs. $40-50, choice and prime kids 25-40 lbs. $95-110, 40-80 lbs. $82-94, few $95-98, choice 40-80 lbs. $72-82, good 40-80 lbs. $62-72; choice Angoras 45-90 lbs. $74-83, good and choice 45-90 lbs. $63-74.
