Cash Myers Survives Finals Cut
In Two Events, But Just Barely

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The final week of professional rodeo's season always brings drama. This year was no different as Cash Myers of Athens, Texas, moved into 15th place and Wrangler NFR qualification in steer wrestling by earning $971 in Kansas City, Mo., and $951 in San Francisco over the weekend. Myers beat out 16th place finisher Chad Hagan of Leesville, La., by $75.

Myers' position in calf roping assured him qualification to the Wrangler NFR earlier in the season. For Myers to improve his chances at an all-around title, however, he needed to qualify for the Wrangler NFR in steer wrestling as well.

In the all-around race, Cody Ohl, Stephenville, Texas, leads the pack with $211,394 in season earnings. He is followed by Trevor Brazile, Pueblo, Colo., with $163,726; Scott Johnston, Gustine, Texas, $154,351; Jesse Bail, Camp Crook, S.D., $141,136; and Cash Myers, Athens, Texas, $138,938.
