Ty Jones Cattle Co., Canyon, bought in New Mexico for May delivery 700 No. 1 English and exotic cross steers to weigh 775 pounds at $82, also 420 heifer mates to weigh 725 at $79 and 140 similar heifers to weigh 700 at $79.75, for current delivery 140 similar steers weighing 775 at $83.50 and 70 heifer mates weighing 725 at $79.50; in North Texas for May 1400 such steers to weigh 775 at $81 and for current delivery 280 steers weighing 750 at $80; in the Texas Panhandle for March 300 steers to weigh 750 at $83; in Oklahoma for March 140 similar heifers to weigh 700 at $78.

USDA reports 2925 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including: for April delivery medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 800 pounds at $82; for current delivery similar steers weighing 725-775 at $81-83 and 825 pounds at $77.50; similar heifers weighing 625 at $84, 700-725 pounds at $77.50-79, and 725 pounds at $81.

Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as confirmed by USDA totaled 5300 head. Medium and large No. 1-2 steers weighing 550 pounds were $90-92 f.o.b. Idaho, 600-650 pounds $84 f.o.b. Washington, 750-800 pounds $79.50-81 f.o.b. Washington and Idaho, 800-850 pounds $76-78 f.o.b. Washington and Oregon, 875-900 pounds $74.50 delivered in Washington, and 900 pounds $76-77 f.o.b. Washington; similar heifers weighing 500-550 pounds were $79 f.o.b. Washington, 700-750 pounds $73-78 f.o.b. Washington, Oregon and Idaho, and 850 pounds $75 f.o.b. Washington.

USDA reports 1185 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Colorado range, including: for May delivery 500 head of medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 725 pounds at $81 delivered; for current delivery 65 similar steers weighing 775 at $80 delivered, 105 steers weighing 800 at $81 f.o.b., 250 steers weighing 800-825 at $79.50-82, and 65 steers weighing 860 at $80 delivered; also 130 heifers weighing 480 at $102.50 delivered and 70 heifers weighing 725 at $78.50 delivered.

New Mexico direct feeder cattle trade by USDA count came to 5600 head, all for current delivery. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 375 pounds were $125 delivered, 450 pounds $110 and 500-575 pounds $98-100; steers weighing 600-625 were $86-88 f.o.b., 700-750 pounds $81-83.50; heifers weighing 375 were $105 delivered, 400-450 pounds $100-102 and 500-550 pounds $88-89; f.o.b. basis 650-675 pounds $82-84 and 700-750 pounds $76-77.
