Angelo Lambs Firm,
Feeder Cattle Higher

SAN ANGELO — Feeder lambs sold steady in a light supply this week, slaughter lambs firm on weights over 90 pounds, lighter weights sharply higher, slaughter ewes weak to $2 lower. Nanny goats were steady, kids $6-8 higher. Receipts totaled 8685 head, around 50 percent slaughter ewes, 20 percent slaughter lambs, one percent feeder lambs, and 30 percent goats.

Feeder steers and heifers sold $1-2 higher last week, slaughter cows and bulls fully $2-4 higher, stock cows and pairs steady in a light test. Receipts totaled 1800 head, around 70 percent feeders, 25 percent slaughter cows and bulls and five percent stock cows and pairs.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 50-60 lbs. $95-98, 60-70 lbs. $81-88, 70-80 lbs. $82-85, 80-90 lbs. $68-71.

Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 shorn and wooled 90-150 lbs. $63-71, few $71-75, 150-165 lbs. $52-60, good and choice 1-2 50-60 lbs. $100-108, 68 lbs. $97, 70-80 lbs. $92-95, 80-90 lbs. $76-84; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $25-35, good 2-3 $37-46, few $46-49, utility and good 1-3 $42-50.50, few $51-54.50, utility 1-2 $32-42, cull and utility 1-2 $25-32, bucks $31-45.
