Colorado City Feeder
Cattle Prices Higher

COLORADO CITY —(Feb. 2)— Feeder steers and heifers sold $1-4 higher, slaughter cows $1-2 higher, bulls steady, stock cows $50-100 higher, pairs $100 higher. Receipts totaled 1486 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $119-128, 300-400 lbs. $108-119, few $121-125, 400-500 lbs. $101-108, 500-600 lbs. $91-93, 600-700 lbs. $83.50-87.50; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $100-106, 400-500 lbs. $90-100, 500-600 lbs. $84.50-89, 600-700 lbs. $76.50-81, 700-800 lbs. $73-76.50.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $93-99, few $104, 400-500 lbs. $89-98, 500-600 lbs. $80-87, few $89-92, 600-700 lbs. $76.50-82, 700-800 lbs. $73-75; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $86-94, 400-500 lbs. $82.50-89, 500-600 lbs. $76-80.50, 600-700 lbs. $70-76, 700-800 lbs. $68-73.

Slaughter cows: breakers $38.75-42.50, boners $41-45.50, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $38-43.50, 800-1000 lbs. $35-39.50; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $50-56, high dressing $56.50-59.50, low dressing $46-50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 800-1350 lbs. 3-8 months bred $690-865 per head, several $890-925, aged 800-1250 lbs. 2-8 months bred $485-650; young and middleaged 800-1300 lb. cows with 100-400 lb. calves $835-960 per pair, set $1015, aged 900-1100 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $685-780.
