Lower, Cattle Firm

SAN ANGELO — This was the first significant showing of feeder lambs in several week and no price trends were quoted; slaughter lambs sold weak to $5 lower, slaughter ewes steady; nanny goats sold steady, kids $5-10 lower. Two day receipts totaled more than 20,000 head, around 35 percent slaughter lambs, 25 percent feeder lambs, 25 percent slaughter ewes and 15 percent goats.

Feeder steers and heifers sold firm last week, slaughter cows and bulls firm to $2 higher, stock cows and pairs steady. Receipts totaled 2000 head, around 65 percent feeders, 20 percent slaughter cows and bulls and 15 percent stock cows and pairs.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 40-50 lbs. $110-117.50, 50-60 lbs. $94-97, 60-70 lbs. $77-80, few $85-86, 70-90 lbs. $75-80, 90-105 lbs. $73-77.50.

Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 shorn and wooled 90-140 lbs. $63-71, few $71-75, newcrop 90-120 lbs. $72-80, good and choice 1-2 newcrop 30-50 lbs. $120-135, 50-60 lbs. $100-101, 60-70 lbs. $80-89, 70-90 lbs. $78-85; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $28-38, good 2-3 $40-49, utility and good 1-3 $50-52, utility 1-2 $30-42, cull and utility 1-2 $26-32, bucks $42-52.50.

Stock ewes: medium and large 1-2 ewes with lambs $45-49 per head.
