delivery 2600 No. 1-1½ Okie and crossbred steers weighing 775 pounds
at $70, also 70 similar type and weight steers at the same price, and
130 similar type steers weighing 775 at $69, plus 130 No. 1 Okie and
exotic cross steers weighing 625 at $78.
Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in Southern Oklahoma for
May delivery four loads of No. 1 English and exotic cross steers to
weigh 750 pounds at $71.50; for current delivery in East Texas one
load of No. 1 crossbred steers weighing 750 at $3 below the April
futures board.
USDA reports 2800 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma
range, all for current delivery, including medium and large No. 1
steers weighing 750-775 pounds at $73-76 and 800-850 pounds at $70-74,
plus similar heifers weighing 750 at $69.
Northwest direct feeder cattle trade as confirmed by USDA totaled
1000 head, all for current delivery. Medium and large No. 1 steers
weighing 700-750 pounds were $77 delivered in Idaho, 800-850 pounds
$65-67 f.o.b. Oregon and Idaho and $68-69 delivered in Washington,
also 900 pounds $65 delivered in Washington; 450 pound heifers were
$93 f.o.b. Idaho, 750-800 pounds $67 delivered in Idaho, 800 pounds
$67 f.o.b. Idaho, and 800-850 pounds $65.50-66 delivered in
Washington.
USDA reports 1670 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Colorado
range, all for current delivery, including 300 medium and large No. 1
steers weighing 700-740 pounds at $79-80.75 delivered, 130 similar
steers weighing 800 at $72.70 delivered, 420 similar heifers weighing
750 at $72 f.o.b., 85 heifers weighing 615 at $82 delivered, and 735
heifers weighing 750-775 at $70.75-72.25 delivered.
New Mexico direct feeder cattle trade by USDA count came to 1250
head, all for current delivery. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing
600 pounds were $84 and 700-750 pounds $74-75, both f.o.b.; similar
heifers weighing 550-575 were $76-78 delivered, 650 pounds $74 f.o.b.,
and 750 pounds $72 f.o.b.
