Graham Feeder Cattle Show Slight Strength
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $1 higher, the advance on weights under 500 pounds, slaughter cows and bulls steady, stock cows and pairs steady. Receipts totaled 818 head.

Hamilton Nanny Goats Higher, Others Steady
Nanny goats sold higher, other sheep and goat classes steady on receipts of 1418 head.

Lometa Sheep, Goats Called Mostly Steady
Most sheep and goats sold steady on receipts of 1794 head.

Fredericksburg Feeder Steers, Heifers Mixed
Lightweight feeder steers were $2-3 higher, heavyweights steady, heifers steady, slaughter cows and bulls steady. Receipts totaled 1783 head.

Colorado City Feeder Cattle Prices Steady
Feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady, slaughter cows steady to $1 lower, bulls steady, stock cows $25 higher, pairs $50 higher. Receipts totaled 1213 head.

Cuero Feeder Steers, Heifers Sell Mixed
Feeder steers sold steady to lower, heifers steady to higher, slaughter cows $1-2 lower. Receipts totaled 1874 head.

U.S. Meat Production 6.9% Above A Year Ago
Total red meat production under federal inspection last week was estimated at 928.9 million pounds, 1.1 percent more than a week ago and 6.9 percent more than a year ago. Cumulative meat production for the year to date was up 3.1 percent at 22.66 billion pounds.

San Saba, Brownwood, Mason Feeders Steady
Yearling feeder steers, and heifers, sold steady last week in Mason, Brownwood and San Saba, calves steady to $2 lower, slaughter cows steady, bulls $1-2 lower, bred stock cows and pairs strong. Receipts totaled 2129 head at the three sales.

Kansas Direct Feeder Steers, Heifers Weak
Feeder steers sold mostly steady last week in Kansas direct trade, some weakness noted, heifers weak on a light test. Sales were confirmed on 15,757 head. Temperatures ranged 95-100 degrees with little moisture. The wheat harvest is basically over south of I-80, yields varying from six to 40 bushels in Western Kansas.
