Colorado City Feeder
Cattle Prices Steady

COLORADO CITY —(June 29)— Feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady, slaughter cows steady to $1 lower, bulls steady, stock cows $25 higher, pairs $50 higher. Receipts totaled 1213 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $96-104, 400-500 lbs. $88-94, 500-600 lbs. $82.50-87, 600-700 lbs. $76-81.50; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $101-108, 300-400 lbs. $88-95, 400-500 lbs. $83-88, 500-600 lbs. $74-81, 600-700 lbs. $70-75.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 190-270 lbs. $103-115, 300-400 lbs. $87.50-91.50, 400-500 lbs. $77.50-83, 500-600 lbs. $72.50-74.50, 600-700 lbs. $70-74.50; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $85-93, 400-500 lbs. $70-75, 500-600 lbs. $68-73, 600-700 lbs. $65.50-70.50.

Slaughter cows: breakers $35-41, boners $38-42.25, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $35-41.50, 800-1000 lbs. $32.50-39, under 750 lbs. $22-33; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $50-52, high dressing $54-55.25, 1000-1300 lbs. $43.25-47.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 1000-1300 lbs. 3-7 months bred $495-655 per head, aged 900-1300 lbs. 3-8 months bred $455-550; medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 900-1300 lb. cows with 100-400 lb. calves $690-860 per pair, several $875-900, aged 1000-1200 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $550-725.
