SAN ANGELO —(USDA)— Feeder lambs sold firm to $4 higher this week, slaughter lambs steady, slaughter ewes firm to $2 higher, instances $5-7 higher on thin ewes; nanny goats were $5 higher and kids $10 higher. Receipts totaled 12,000 head, around 55 percent slaughter ewes, 10 percent slaughter lambs, five percent feeder lambs and 30 percent goats.

There was no cattle sale last week in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 40-60 lbs. $80-82, 60-80 lbs. $76-81, set $87, 80-90 lbs. $72.50-76; medium and large No. 2 40-60 lbs. $75-80, 60-90 lbs. $68-75.

Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 shorn and wooled 90-120 lbs. $73-79, good and choice 1-2 70-90 lbs. $74-82; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $23-33.50, good 2-3 $32.50-43, utility and good 1-3 $41-50.50, utility 1-2 $31-41, cull and utility 1-2 $24-31; bucks $30-41.

Stock ewes: medium and large 1-2 mixed age 110-135 lbs. $51-54.
