Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in the Texas Panhandle for September delivery 350 No. 1 Okie heifers to weigh 725 pounds at $75 and for current delivery 75 No. 1 Okie steers out of a grow yard weighing 650 at $80, also 130 No. 1 crossbred steers weighing 800 at $75.25; in Central Texas for August delivery 140 No. 1 Okie heifers to weigh 700 at $70; in Oklahoma for current delivery 1500 No. 1 crossbred steers weighing 850 at $73.25, also 200 similar heifers weighing 725 at $72.50; in North Texas 90 No. 1 Okie heifers weighing 550 at $80.85; in West Texas 140 No. 1 Okie steers weighing 750 at $76; in New Mexico a load of Holstein steers weighing 425 at $80.50 and a load weighing 575 at $73.

USDA reports 11,600 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 675 pounds at $83 for August delivery and 775 pounds $77.50, also heifers to weigh 675 pounds $77.50; for current delivery, similar steers weighing 725-775 pounds were $75-78.50, 800-850 pounds $74-76, 900 pound fleshy offerings $69, and 950 pounds $72; similar heifers weighing 700-750 pounds $73-74, 800 pounds fleshy $66.

Northwest direct feeder cattle trade as confirmed by USDA totaled 575 head. Medium and large No. 1-2 steers weighing 800-850 pounds were $72-76.50 delivered in Washington, 875 pounds $69 f.o.b. Oregon and 900 pounds $72.25 delivered in Washington; similar heifers weighing 800 pounds were $69 delivered in Washington and 825 pounds $66 f.o.b. Oregon.

USDA reports 4550 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Colorado range, including 1100 medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 415 pounds at $98 delivered in September, 90 similar steers for current delivery weighing 550 at $92.90 delivered, 68 steers weighing 725 at $80.50 delivered, 715 steers weighing 750-775 at $79-82 delivered, 1000 steers weighing 800 at $78.50 f.o.b., 1100 steers weighing 800-825 at $79-79.50 delivered, and 310 steers weighing 850 at $79 delivered, also 170 similar heifers to weigh 575 at $81.50 f.o.b.

New Mexico direct feeder cattle trade by USDA count came to 4800 head, all for current delivery. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 375 pounds were $110 delivered, 400 pounds $105 and 500-575 pounds $90-92, 600-625 pounds $81.50-84 f.o.b. and 750 pounds $77 f.o.b.; similar heifers weighing 350 pounds were $98 delivered, 400-450 pounds $91-94 and 500-575 pounds $78-79, also 600-625 pounds $76-78 f.o.b.
