Most Abilene Cattle
Sell Steady To Higher

ABILENE —(July 23)— Feeder steers and heifers under 500 pounds traded $2-3 higher, heavier weights steady, slaughter cows and bulls steady, replacement cows and pairs steady to firm. Receipts totaled 902 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 pounds $106-112, a few $115; 400-500 pounds $90-96.50, a few $97-110; 500-600 pounds $81-86, a few to $87; 600-700 pounds $81.50-85; medium and large No. 2 400-500 pounds $75-79; 400-500 pounds $81-89; 500-600 pounds $73-80.50; 600-700 pounds $73-79.50; 700-800 pounds $71-75; 800-900 pounds $63.50-67; medium and large No. 3 400-500 pounds $75-79; 600-700 pounds $68-72; 700-800 pounds $63-67.50.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 pounds $93-98, a few to $105; 400-500 pounds $85-90, a few to $93-94; 500-600 pounds $79-83; 600-700 pounds $76-80; medium and large No. 2 200-300 pounds $102-110; 300-400 pounds $82-89; 400-500 pounds 79-83; 500-600 pounds $73.50-78; 600-700 $69.50-75; medium and large No. 3 400-500 pounds $71-76; 600-700 pounds $63-68.50.

Slaughter cows: boners $35.25-39.50, lean 800-1000 pounds $35.50-37.50; bulls, yield grade 1-2 1300-2100 pounds $45-50, high dressing 1500-2100 pounds $48.50-53; stock cows, medium and large No. 1-2 3-6 year-old 810-1300 pounds and 2-8 months bred $530-675 per head.
