Fredericksburg Lambs
Higher, Goats Lower

FREDERICKSBURG —(USDA)— Stock, feeder and slaughter lambs were $3-5 higher, stock, feeder and slaughter goats $8-10 lower. Receipts totaled 4872 head, around 30 percent sheep including nearly 850 lambs.

Sheep: medium and Large No. 1-2 feeder lambs 40-60 lbs. $78-85, 70-90 lbs. $75-80; stock ewes: medium and large No. 1-2 90-120 lbs. $44-67; slaughter lambs, choice and prime 40-80 lbs. $75-88, 90-125 lbs. $66-75, good and choice 40-80 lbs. $68-72; slaughter ewes, good 90-125 lbs. $33-44.50; slaughter bucks, 170-200 lbs. $25-26.

Barbados: lambs, 15-40 lbs. $58-73, ewes 65-90 lbs. $49-57; bucks $70-130 per head; slaughter lambs 15-40 lbs. $58-73, 40-70 lbs. $70-81, ewes 70-100 lbs. $32-43.

Goats: selection 1 meat type 20-40 lbs. $78-85, 40-60 lbs. $80-85, 60-80 lbs. $81-87, selection 2 40-60 lbs. $70-78; nannies 90-145 lbs. $36-45; billies 90-200 lbs. $71-74; muttons selection 1 80-145 lbs. $92-101, selection 2 115-165 lbs. $77.50-80; replacement kids, selection 1 50-75 lbs. $90-105; nannies 75-135 lbs. $80-100; billies 80-175 lbs. $73-87.50; Angoras, few 100 lbs. $38.
