Feeders Steady To Up
In San Saba And Mason

Steers were steady last week in Mason and San Saba, heifers $1-2 higher, packer cows and bulls steady to $2 higher, bred cows and pairs steady. Receipts at the two sales totaled 789 head.

Feeder steers: choice lightweight calves $95-119, mediumweight $88-105, heavyweight $79-85; yearlings, choice lightweight $75-85, heavyweight $67-71.50; No. 2 calves and yearlings $70-77; shorties and plainer calves and yearlings $55-70.

Feeder heifers: choice lightweight calves $90-105, mediumweight $80-90, heavyweight $70-77.50; yearlings, choice lightweight $68-75, heavyweight $60-70; No. 2 calves and yearlings $65-75.

Slaughter cows: high yielding $39-43, medium yielding $35-38, low yielding $30-34; bulls, high yielding $54-57.50, medium yielding $50-53.50, low yielding $46-49, feeder bulls $45-48; stock cows, choice bred cows $630-690 per head, medium to good bred cows $590-630, plainer and older bred cows $490-550; heiferettes and young stock cows $46-65; cow-calf pairs, $700-850, medium to good pairs $650-780 per pair, plainer and older pairs $500-600.
