Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in Southeast Texas for September delivery 157 No. 1 English and exotic cross steers to weigh 580 pounds at $82, also 150 heifer mates to weigh 540 at $75; in Oklahoma for current delivery 180 similar heifers weighing 550 at $81 and 270 steers weighing 750 at $77.50.

Ty Jones Cattle Co., Canyon, bought in Central Texas for current delivery 70 No. 1-1½ crossbred steers weighing 700 pounds at $76, also a load of No. 1 Okie and crossbred heifers weighing 675 at $73.50.

USDA reports 7350 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, all for current delivery, including medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 650 pounds at $85, 700-775 pounds at $75-78.70, 800-850 pounds at $74-76, and 900 pounds at $71, also similar heifers weighing 725-750 at $72-74.50 and 800 pounds at $70; medium and large No. 1-2 Mexican steers weighing 750 at $75.

Northwest direct feeder cattle trade as confirmed by USDA totaled 5000 head. Medium and large No. 1-2 steers to weigh 600-650 pounds for Nov. delivery brought $78 f.o.b. Oregon; for current delivery similar steers weighing 600-650 were $83 f.o.b. Idaho, 650 pounds $80-81 delivered in Washington, Idaho and Oregon, 750-800 pounds $72-75 f.o.b. Oregon and Washington, 800-900 pounds $69-73 f.o.b. Idaho, Oregon and Washington, 850 pounds $76-76.50 delivered in Washington and Idaho, and 900-950 pounds $68.50-72 f.o.b. Washington, Idaho and Oregon; similar heifers weighing 700 pounds were $72 f.o.b. Oregon, 750 pounds $74-74.50 delivered in Idaho, 750-800 pounds $69 f.o.b. Oregon, and 800-825 pounds $66 f.o.b. Oregon.

USDA reports 9500 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Colorado range, including: for September delivery 1800 medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 415 pounds at $105.50 delivered and 125 similar heifers weighing 760 at $76.50 delivered; for current delivery 180 steers weighing 560 at $91 delivered, 370 steers weighing 650 at $87 delivered, 774 steers weighing 700 at $80.90-83 delivered, 835 steers weighing 750 at $80-83.25 delivered, 1180 steers weighing 800-825 at $76-78 delivered, 485 steers weighing 900 at $73-75 delivered, 475 steers weighing 725 at $80.50 f.o.b., 135 steers weighing 750 at $78.50 f.o.b., 820 steers weighing 810 at $78 f.o.b., and 940 steers weighing 850-860 at $78-78.75 f.o.b.; 350 similar heifers weighing 650 at $79.50 delivered, 200 heifers weighing 700 at $77.50 delivered, and 825 heifers weighing 750 at $75 delivered.

New Mexico direct feeder cattle trade by USDA count came to 3200 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 350 pounds were $110 delivered, 475 pounds $96 delivered, 500-575 pounds $90-92 delivered, 600-650 pounds $81-84 f.o.b., and 725 pounds $79 f.o.b.; similar heifers weighing 325 pounds were $98 delivered, 450 pounds $86 delivered, 500-550 pounds $78-80 delivered, 625-650 pounds $76-78 f.o.b., and 700 pounds $72.50 f.o.b.
