A CHRONIC SQUEEZE on fed cattle prices has trickled down the line, rolling back rates on feeder and stocker cattle despite continued declines in the national cow herd. Persistent drouth in the grain belt promises to increase feeding costs, which will likely put further downward pressure on calves and yearlings.
