Abilene Feeder Steer,
Heifer Prices Firm

ABILENE —(July 30)— Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to firm, slaughter cows and bulls $1-2 higher, stock cows and pairs $10-20 lower. Receipts totaled 701 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $103-107, few $111, 400-500 lbs. $89-94, 500-600 lbs. $82-87, few $92; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $104-108, 400-500 lbs. $80-85, 500-600 lbs. $73-80.50, 600-700 lbs. $71-79.50, 700-800 lbs. $70-76.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $93-96, few $102, 400-500 lbs. $86-91, few $94, 500-600 lbs. $80-87; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $102-110, 300-400 lbs. $85-92, 400-500 lbs. $78-85, 500-600 lbs. $74-79, 600-700 lbs. $70-75, 700-800 lbs. $62.50-70.50.

Slaughter cows: boners $35-42, lean 800-1000 lbs. $31-36; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $43.75-47, high dressing $48.50-51.50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 85a0-1250 lbs. 2-5 months bred $510-620 per head, aged 750-1150 lbs. 4-8 months bred $420-520; medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 1250-1600 lb. cows with 100-250 lb. calves $660-775 per pair.
