Cattle Sell Higher

COLORADO CITY —(July 24)— Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $1 higher with 400-500 pound heifers $4 higher, slaughter cows steady to $1 higher, bulls steady, stock cows $5 higher, pairs $40 higher. Receipts totaled 1341 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-275 lbs. $116-120, few $137, 300-360 lbs. $98-99, few $112, 400-475 lbs. $89-96, 500-600 lbs. $79-85, 600-700 lbs. $76.50-79, 700-725 lbs. $75-76.50, 828 lbs. $73; medium and large No. 2 220-275 lbs. $101-107.50, 330-400 lbs. $86.50-96.50, 400-500 lbs. $82-89, 500-575 lbs. $75-78.50, 600-675 lbs. $73-76, 700-800 lbs. $67-72.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-350 lbs. $88-95.50, 400-500 lbs. $79-87, 500-600 lbs. $75-78, 600-700 lbs. $70.50-80, 700-710 lbs. $67.50-68; medium and large No. 2 200-265 lbs. $87.50-96, 300-400 lbs. $80-86, 400-500 lbs. $72-78, 500-0600 lbs. $68-74.50, 600-700 lbs. $65-70, 700-800 lbs. $64.50-66.

Slaughter cows: breakers $37-40.25, boners $37-42.50, high dressing $42.50-45, lean 1000-1250 lbs. $36-41, 800-1000 lbs. $32-39, under 750 lbs. $28-34; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1150-1500 lbs. $47-51.50, high dressing 1550-1750 lbs. $52-54.50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 900-1400 lbs. 3-8 months bred $520-680 per head, middleaged and aged 750-1100 lbs. 2-7 months bred $410-580; medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 700-1450 lb. cows with 100-300 lb. calves $690-860 per pair, middleaged and aged 650-1200 lb. cows with 90-250 lb. calves $560-680.
