Lampasas Feeder Steer,
Heifer Prices Higher

LAMPASAS —(July 24)— Feeder steers and heifers sold $1-3 higher, slaughter cows and bulls steady. Receipts totaled 877 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $111-121, 300-400 lbs. $104-115, 400-500 lbs. $94-106.50, 500-600 lbs. $85-94; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $105-111, 300-400 lbs. $95-103, 400-500 lbs. $85-94, 500-600 lbs. $79-86, 600-700 lbs. $72-80, 700-800 lbs. $70-74.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $99-105, 300-400 lbs. $95-104, 400-500 lbs. $85-93, 500-600 lbs. $78-85; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $88-95, 300-400 lbs. $85-93, 400-500 lbs. $83-86, 500-600 lbs. $75-81, 600-700 lbs. $71-80.

Slaughter cows: breakers $31.50-34, boners $35.50-38.50, high dressing $39-42, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $36.50-39.50, 800-1000 lbs. $35-38, under 750 lbs. $31-33; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $48-52, 1000-1300 lbs. $45-48.

Stock cows: medium and large young and middleaged 1200-1400 lbs. 5-8 months bred $570-680 per head, aged 1000-1100 lbs. 4-7 months bred $525-555; medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 1150-1550 lb. cows with 150-200 lb. calves $870-940 per pair, aged 900-1150 lb. cows with baby to 125 lb. calves $530-750.
