Domestic, Aussie Wool
Trade Near Standstill

GREELEY, Colo. —(USDA)— Domestic wool trading was nearly at a standstill again last week. Demand was light to moderate for scant supplies.

North Dakota moved 38,000 pounds of original bag, bellies in, staple, fine whiteface at 75cents grease, f.o.b. the delivery point.

Australian markets were in recess again last week.

New Zealand conducted a small sale in Napier. Strong wool was up 18 at 458NZ cents per pound. A total of 5936 bales were offered and 95 percent sold. The current exchange rate is $.4864 NZ to the U.S. dollar.
