Abilene Lightweight
Feeders Sell Higher

ABILENE —(Aug. 13)— Feeder steers and heifers under 500 pounds sold $2-3 higher, heavier weights steady, slaughter cows and bulls steady, stock cows and pairs steady. Receipts totaled 955 head.

Steers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $10-105, few $112-120, 400-500 lbs. $89-95, few $97-104, 500-600 lbs. $80-86, 600-700 lbs. $73.50-77; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $105-112, 300-400 lbs. $91-98, 400-500 lbs. $80-88, 500-600 lbs. $71-78, 600-700 lbs. $68-75.

Heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $92-98, few $101-105, 400-500 lbs. $88-92, 500-600 lbs. $76-80, few $90; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $84-89, 400-600 lbs. $77.50-86, 500-600 lbs. $72-77, 600-700 lbs. $69-74, 700-800 lbs. $63-69.50.

Slaughter cows: boners $35-42, lean 800-1000 lbs. $30.50-39; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $43-46, high dressing $47.50-52.50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 1000-1350 lbs. 2-8 months bred $530-700 per head, aged 900-1300 lbs. 4-8 months bred $460-630; medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 950-1350 lb. cows with 200-325 lb. calves $650-855 per pair.
