Fed Beef Carcass

HEREFORD, Texas — The grand champion carcass in the Texas Cattle Feeders Association's Fed Beef Challenge was a heifer from the Caprock 6 Feedyard at Lockney, Texas.

The first place pen of steers was from the C Bar Feedyard at Plainview. The second place pen of steers was from Hale Center Feedyard at Hale Center, and the third place pen of steers was from Stratford Feedyard at Stratford.

The first place pen of heifers was from Circle Three Feedyard at Hereford. Bartlett II at Hereford had the second place pen of heifers, and Coronado Feeders at Dalhart was third.

Burt Rutherford with the Texas Cattle Feeders Association says 30 feedyards brought 58 pens of steers and heifers to Hereford for the Fed Beef Challenge.
