Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort worth, bought for current delivery in East Texas 280 No. 1 English and exotic cross steers at $84 with a five-cent slide at 625 pounds, also 290 heifer mates at $79 with a five-cent slide at 600, plus 87 No. 1½ crossbred steers at $76 with a four-cent slide at 750 and 110 similar heifers at $72.50 with a four-cent slide at 725.

USDA reports 4050 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including: for September and October delivery medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 800 pounds at $78.50; for current delivery similar steers weighing 725-775 at $79-81 and 800-850 pounds at $76-79.50, plus similar heifers weighing 650 at $80 and 700-725 pounds at $74.50-77; medium and large No. 1-2 steers weighing 725-785 at $77.50-78 and 800-840 pounds at $75-76.50.

Northwest direct feeder cattle trade as confirmed by USDA totaled 8000 head. Medium and large No. 1-2 steers to weigh 600-650 pounds for delivery through December brought $78-83.50 f.o.b. Idaho and Oregon, similar heifers for November to weigh 550 pounds $77 f.o.b. Oregon; for October steers to weigh 500-550 pounds $85 f.o.b. Idaho and Oregon, similar heifers to weigh 450-500 pounds $80 f.o.b. Idaho; for current delivery steers weighing 600-650 pounds $74-76 f.o.b. western Oregon, 750-800 pounds $75-77 f.o.b. Idaho and Oregon, 800-900 pounds $72.50-75 f.o.b. Oregon and Idaho, 850-900 pounds $73.50-74 delivered in Oregon, Washington and Idaho, and 900 pounds f.o.b. Idaho; similar heifers weighing 600 pounds were $69-72 f.o.b. western Oregon, 750-800 pounds $71-73 f.o.b. Oregon and Idaho, 800-825 pounds $70 f.o.b. Oregon, and 900 pounds $72 f.o.b. Idaho.

USDA reports 7800 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Colorado range, including: for October delivery 220 medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 480 pounds at $92 f.o.b., also 350 similar heifers to weigh 825 at $77.35 delivered and 230 heifers to weigh 450 at $86 f.o.b.; for current delivery, all delivered prices, 140 steers weighing 725 at $83.50, 300 steers weighing 750 at $83-84, 2320 steers weighing 850 at $78-80, and 1530 steers weighing 900-925 at $73.50-76.35, also 500 heifers weighing 740 at $77, and 1140 heifers weighing 800-835 at $75.35-76.50.
