LITTLE RESPECT was accorded ranch goats for decades, though the proceeds from their near total-profit sales paid for many windmill or fence repairs and more than a few Christmas presents. Today’s thriving meat goat market has raised their stature, especially in light of prices that run as much as $10 per hundred more than those for comparable lambs.
