Lampasas Feeder Steer,
Heifer Prices Higher

LAMPASAS —(Aug. 28)— Feeder steers and heifers sold $1-3 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $2-3 lower. Receipts totaled 1002 head.

Steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $110-114, 300-400 lbs. $107-113, 400-500 lbs. $92-105, few to $110, 500-600 lbs. $83-80; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $90-105, 400-500 lbs. $83-91, 500-600 lbs. $75-81, 600-700 lbs. $74-81, 700-800 lbs. $72-78.

Heifers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $105-110, 300-400 lbs. $90-104, 400-500 lbs. $82-91, 500-600 lbs. $78-83; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $84-87, 300-400 lbs. $82-91, 400-500 lbs. $76-82, 500-600 lbs. $73-77, 600-700 lbs. $69-76, 700-800 lbs. $64-70.

Slaughter cows: breakers $30-33, boners $32-34, high dressing $33.50-37.50, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $34-35.50, 800-1000 lbs. $31-33.50, under 750 lbs. $27-30.50; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $46-49, 1000-1300 lbs. $45-46.50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 1150-1200 lbs. 6-8 months bred $595-715 per head, aged 1000-1050 lbs. 3-7 months bred $420-585; medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 1250-1450 lb. cows with 125-150 lb. calves $760-820 per pair, aged 1050-1200 lb. cows with baby to 100 lb. calves $575-725.
