Abilene Feeder Steers,
Heifers Steady To Up

ABILENE —(Oct. 8)— Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $1 higher, the advance on weights over 500 pounds, slaughter cows and bulls $1-2 higher, stock cows and pairs $10-15 higher. Receipts totaled 831 head.

Steers: medium and large No. 1 400-500 lbs. $90-97, 500-600 lbs. $81-85, 600-700 lbs. $73-78.50; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $91-99, 400-500 lbs. $79-87, 500-600 lbs. $72-80, 600-700 lbs. $68-74.50, 700-800 lbs. $66.50-70, 800-900 lbs. $64-68.75.

Heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $90-95, 400-500 lbs. $81-87, few $97, 600-700 lbs. $71-76; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $100-106, 300-400 lbs. $81-89, 400-500 lbs. $75-80, 500-600 lbs. $72-78, 600-700 lbs. $67-73.50, 700-800 lbs. $63-72.50, 800-900 lbs. $62.50-68.75.

Slaughter cows: breakers $30.50-35, boners $32-37.50, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $30-33, under 750 lbs. $24-27.50; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $42-45, high dressing $43-48.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 800-1350 lbs. 3-7 months bred $500-660 per head.
