Texas Boys Victors In Second
PRCA Bull Riding-Only Rodeo
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Heart O' Texas Bull Riding Rodeo,
the second Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association bull riding-only
rodeo, was won by Texas cowboys Casey Baize and Greg Potter.
Baize, of San Angelo, and Potter, of Whitt, rode two bulls each for
182 points. In the first round, Baize rode Andrews Rodeo Company's
Locomotion for 88 points to finish tied for third. In the final round,
he scored 94 points on Flying Five Rodeo Company's Tight Wire to win
the round. He added $3867 to his earnings, moving him from 26th in the
Jack Daniel's World Standings to 24th.
The Top 15 in the world standings on Nov. 3 will qualify for the
$4.8 million Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas Dec. 6-15.
Potter placed second in the first round with a 91-point ride aboard
Andrews Rodeo Company's Sam's Town. In the final round, he took second
with another 91-point ride on Andrews Rodeo Company's Slim. Potter
collected $4255.
In the Jack Daniel’s All-Around Competition, Jesse Bail, Camp
Crooks, S.D., leads with $193,081 in season earnings to date. He is
followed by Cash Myers, Athens, Texas, with $169,438; Trevor Brazile,
Anson, Texas, $159,262; Blair Burk, Durant, Okla., $142,927; and Rich
Skelton, Llano, Texas, $118,196.
