In the annual stocker and feeder sale held by the San Carlos Indians in Arizona a few days ago, heifer yearlings averaged $17.75, steer yearlings $23, and bred heifers and young cows $124 per head, according to a report from that state this week. These cattle are considered among tops in Arizona.

Sheep prices were weaker Wednesday at Producers Livestock Auction in San Angelo, where receipts totaled 3724 head. Packer bucks sold at $3.75 to $4.25 cwt., packer ewes $3 to $4, stocker lambs $10 to $14.50, yearling muttons $6 to $10. Solidmouth ewes brought $4 to $6 per head.

Rue Wharton of Dalhart bought 200 mixed yearlings at $18.50 for the heifers, to be delivered Dec. 1, and $20 for the steers, Nov. 1 delivery, from Lolan Higgins of Dalhart. The heifers are expected to weigh about 750, the steers 825 pounds.
