Abilene Lightweight
Feeder Cattle Higher

ABILENE —(Oct. 22)— Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $2 higher, the advance on weights under 500 pounds, slaughter cows and bulls $1-2 higher, stock cows and pairs steady.

Steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $117.50-125, few $128-131, 300-400 lbs. $102-107, few $110-117, 400-500 lbs. $90-96, few $99-105, 500-600 lbs. $81-89, 600-700 lbs. $74-78.50, few $83; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $95-100, 400-500 lbs. $81-89, 500-600 lbs. $71-80, 600-700 lbs. $70-74, 700-800 lbs. $66-72.50.

Heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $91-95, 400-500 lbs. $82-88, few $89-92, 500-600 lbs. $78.25-83, few $88, 600-700 lbs. $73-76; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $82-89, 400-500 lbs. $74-81, 500-600 lbs. $71-77.50, 600-700 lbs. $67-72.50.

Slaughter cows: breakers $31-35, boners $31.50-36.50, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $28-32.50, 800-1000 lbs. $28.50-32; high dressing yield grade 1-2 bulls 1500-2100 lbs. $43-50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 900-1600 lb. cows 2-7 months bred $525-690 per head.
