Angelo Sheep, Cattle
Prices Turn Higher

SAN ANGELO —(USDA)— Feeder lambs sold $5-9 higher this week, slaughter lambs $2-4 higher, slaughter ewes firm to $1 higher; nanny goats and kids were weak. One-day receipts totaled 10,121 head, around 35 percent slaughter ewes, 20 percent feeder lambs, five percent slaughter lambs and 40 percent goats.

Feeder steers and heifers were firm to $1 higher last week, slaughter cows and bulls steady to $1 higher. Receipts totaled 3271 head, around 64 percent feeders, 35 percent slaughter cows and bulls and one percent stock cows and pairs.

Sheep: medium and large 1-2 feeder lambs 40-60 lbs. $96-102, 60-70 lbs. $90-96, set $101, 70-80 lbs. $86-91, 80-90 lbs. $84-90, 90-100 lbs. $82-85; medium and large No. 2 40-60 lbs. $82.50-93, 600-70 lbs. $80-90, 70-80 lbs. $76-86, 80-90 lbs. $74-84.
