Most Hamilton Cattle
Prices Called Steady

HAMILTON —(Oct. 22)— Rain held receipts to only 228 and all cattle prices were called steady. On Monday lambs sold $3-6 higher, ewes $1-3 higher, kid goats steady to $3 lower and nannies $4-8 higher. Receipts totaled 1534 head.

Steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $90-110, 300-400 lbs. $89-105, 400-500 lbs. $80-92, 500-600 lbs. $72-85, 600-700 lbs. $69-74, over 700 lbs. $68-74.

Heifers: 200-300 lbs. $87-100, 300-400 lbs. $80-91, 400-500 lbs. $70-81, 500-600 lbs. $67-76, 600-700 lbs. $64-72, over 700 lbs. $63-71.

Slaughter cows: high dressing $34-36, low dressing $29-32; high dressing bulls $44-46, low dressing $38-42; choice bred stock cows $600-710 per head, medium $475-575, aged $350-525; choice cows with calves $800-925 per pair, medium $675-750, aged $575-685.

Sheep: lambs 40-60 lbs. $82-93.50, 60-80 lbs. $75-85, 80-100 lbs. $75-80, over 100 lbs. $70-73; slaughter ewes $28-48, stock ewes $35-80 per head.

Goats: slaughter meat type kids $88-105 cwt., 40-70 lbs. $85-96, over 70 lbs. $75-90; fleshy slaughter nannies $43-60, medium $38-59, thin $28-35, billies $58-72; stock nanny kids 20-70 lbs. $90-109, over 70 lbs. $85-105; choice nannies $70-135 per head, medium $50-65, billies $85-225.
