Angelo Feeder Lambs
Lower, Cattle Higher

SAN ANGELO —(USDA)— Feeder lambs sold weak to $2 lower this week, slaughter lambs firm to $1 higher, slaughter ewes firm to $2 higher; nanny goats were steady, kids weak to $3 lower. Receipts totaled 7007 head, around 35 percent slaughter ewes, 10 percent feeder lambs, 10 percent slaughter lambs and 45 percent goats.

Feeder steers and heifers were firm to $1 higher last week, slaughter cows weak, bulls steady and stock cows and pairs poorly tested. Receipts totaled 1300 head, around 70 percent feeders, 25 percent slaughter cows and bulls and five percent stock cows and pairs.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 40-60 lbs. $95-99, 60-70 lbs. $86-87, set $94, 70-90 lbs. $82-88; medium and large No. 2 40-60 lbs. $86.90-95, 60-70 lbs. $79-85, 70-90 lbs. $75-82.

Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 shorn and wooled 90-140 lbs. $74-85.50, good and choice 1-2 70-90 lbs. $80-81; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $30-35, good 2-3 33-$43.50, utility and good 1-3 $38-48.50, utility 1-2 $30-38, cull and utility 1-2 $22-30; bucks $22-44.50.

Stock ewes: medium and large 1-2 mixed age 110-130 lbs. $50-52.

Goats: selection 1 meat type slaughter kids 40-60 lbs. $85-95, few 95-101, 60-80 lbs. $85-93, selection 2 40-80 lbs. $75-85, selection 3 40-80 lbs. $65-75; nannies 80-125 lbs. $47-57, thin 70-110 lbs. $35-47; billies 100-150 lbs. $65-77.50, 150-250 lbs. $65-74; selection 2 stock nannies 70-100 lbs. $60-73.
