BROWNWOOD —(Oct. 29)— Feeder steers and heifers sold $3-5 higher, the advance on weights under 600 pounds, slaughter cows and bulls steady, stock cows and pairs steady. Receipts totaled 316 head.

Steers: choice lightweight calves $95-115, mediumweight $85-95, heavyweight $70-85; lightweight yearlings $75-82, heavyweight $66-75.

Heifers: choice lightweight calves $90-100, mediumweight $80-90, heavyweight $70-80; lightweight yearlings $75-85, heavyweight $64-74.

Slaughter cows: high dressing $32-36, medium $30-32, low $25-30; high dressing bulls $42-46, medium $40-42, low $35-40; choice bred stock cows $650-750 per head, medium and good $525-650, aged $450-525; choice cows with calves $750-850 per pair, medium and good $650-750, aged $550-650.
