Colorado City Feeder
Cattle Prices Higher

COLORADO CITY —(Oct. 23)— Feeder steers sold $2-10 higher, the full advance on weights under 500 pounds, heifers $1-1.50 higher, slaughter cows steady to $1 lower, bulls steady, stock cows $30-50 higher, pairs steady. Receipts totaled 779 head.

Steers: medium and large No. 1 225-300 lbs. $115-121, 300-400 lbs. $95-115, 400-500 lbs. $90-101, 500-600 lbs. $78.25-87.50, 600-700 lbs. $76-80, 700-775 lbs. $72-75; medium and large No. 2 350-400 lbs. $87-92.50, 400-500 lbs. $77.50-89, 500-600 lbs. $70.50-78, 600-700 lbs. $65.50-72.50, 700-800 lbs. $67.50-71.50.

Slaughter cows: boners $34.75-36, high dressing $37-38, lean 1000-1250 lbs. $33.50-37, 800-1000 lbs. $31.50-35, under 750 lbs. $25-30.75; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1700-1800 lbs. $42.25-45, high dressing 1650-1850 lbs. $48.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 850-1150 lbs. 4-8 months bred $490-670 per head, 800-1200 lbs. 2-6 months bred $285-480; medium and large 1-2 young 800-1300 lb. cows with 150-300 lb. calves $700-820 per pair, 3-6 year old 700-1700 lb. cows with 100-250 lb. calves $575-675.
