Hamilton Feeder Steer,
Heifer Trends Mixed

HAMILTON —(Oct. 29)— Feeder steer yearlings sold steady, calves higher, heifer yearlings higher, calves steady, slaughter cows $3-5 higher, bulls steady, stock cows and pairs steady. Receipts totaled 397 head.

On Tuesday lambs sold $2-4 higher, slaughter ewes steady, kid goats $3-5 higher, nannies $4-7 higher. Receipts totaled 1905 head.

Steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $98-113, 300-400 lbs. $87-104, 400-500 lbs. $85-100, 500-600 lbs. $77-87, 600-700 lbs. $72-82, over 700 lbs. $68-74.

Heifers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $89-99, 300-400 lbs. $77-88, 400-500 lbs. $72-88, 500-600 lbs. $67-80, 600-700 lbs. $65-79, over 700 lbs. $60-70.

Slaughter cows: high dressing $35-39, low $30-33; high dressing bulls $44-48, low $39-43.

Sheep: lambs 40-60 lbs. $83-96, 50-80 lbs. $80-90, 80-100 lbs. $75-83, over 100 lbs. $70-75; stock ewes $35-42 per head, slaughter $24-42 cwt.

Goats: slaughter meat type kids 40-70 lbs. $86-101, over 70 lbs. $80-94; fleshy nannies $50-62, medium $36-49, thin $32-36, billies $62-72; stock nanny kids 20-70 lbs. $92-110, over 70 lbs. $90-103; choice nannies $75-175 per head, medium $50-65; billies $85-200.
