Feeder Lambs Mixed, Fats Mostly Steady
Mixed price trends met feeder lambs this week; fats were mostly steady. San Angelo had fat lambs firm to $3 higher and Goldthwaite $8-10 higher. In Fredericksburg feeder lambs and lightweight killers lost the advantage of the Easter trade and prices fell $8-10 while heavyweight fats were steady. Feeder lambs were steady to weak in most other areas.

Plains Fed Cattle Some Softer At Mostly $79-80 On Wednesday
Plains feedlots faced a somewhat softer market this week, but they took the slight and moved cattle.

Feeder steers sold strong, heifers steady, slaughter cows and bulls steady. Receipts totaled 957 head.

Most Coleman Cattle Prices Termed Steady
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to firm, slaughter cows and bulls steady, stock cows and pairs steady to firm. Receipts totaled 981 head.

Hamilton Cattle, Sheep Steady, Kid Goats Up
Lambs and ewes sold steady Monday, kids higher and nannies steady. Receipts totaled 2104 head. Tuesday all classes of cattle sold steady on receipts of 322 head.

Most Abilene Cattle Prices Called Higher
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $1 higher, slaughter cows and bulls steady to $2 higher, stock cows and pairs $10-20 higher. Receipts totaled 1126 head.

Milano Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices Lower
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $2 lower, slaughter cows $2-3 higher, bulls steady to $1 higher. Receipts totaled 812 head.

Boxed Beef Values Continue To Climb
The national comprehensive boxed beef cutout report on all fed steers and heifers sold last week showed a $2.87 increase to $127.23.

Colorado City Feeder Cattle Prices Steady
Feeder steers and heifers sold fully steady, slaughter cows steady, bulls $1 lower, and stock cows $10 higher. Receipts totaled 313 head.

Fredericksburg Light Lambs, Goats Lower
Feeder lambs and lightweight slaughter lambs sold $8-10 lower, heavyweight slaughter lambs steady, slaughter goats $8-10 lower, stockers steady to weak. Receipts totaled 3992 head.

Most Mason, San Saba Feeder Cattle Steady
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady last week in Mason and San Saba, slaughter cows and bulls steady, stock cows and pairs $10-15 higher. Receipts totaled 935 head at the two sales.

Mason Special Female Sale On Strong Side
Choice young cow-calf pairs sold strong at the special female replacement sale, open heifers strong, choice bred cows and heifers steady. Receipts totaled 2493 head.

Domestic Wool Slow, Aussie Wools Lower
Domestic wool trading was slow to moderate last week, demand moderate to good. Shearing activity increased in all areas where weather permitted. Most classes were steady.

Most Lampasas Cattle Prices Termed Higher
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $2 higher, slaughter cows $.50-1 higher, bulls $2.50-4 higher. Receipts totaled 754 head.

U.S. Meat Production .6% Below A Year Ago
Total red meat production under federal inspection last week was estimated at 862.5 million pounds, .5 percent more than a week earlier and .6 percent less than a year ago. Cumulative meat production for the year to date was down .4 percent at 12.75 billion pounds.

Decatur Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices Decline
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $3 lower, slaughter cows and bulls 50 cents to $1.50 lower, stock cows and pairs steady. Receipts totaled 1579 head.

Cuero Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices Mixed
Feeder cattle prices were mixed, slaughter cows a little lower and bulls higher. Receipts totaled 991 head.
