Angelo Lambs, Feeder
Cattle Trade Higher

SAN ANGELO —(USDA)— Feeder lambs sold firm to $2 higher this week, slaughter lambs firm to $1 higher, slaughter ewes $2-5 lower, slaughter kids weak, nannies weak to $5 lower. Receipts totaled 9326 head, around 20 percent feeder lambs, 15 percent slaughter ewes, five percent slaughter lambs and 60 percent goats.

Feeder steers and heifers were firm to $1 higher last week, slaughter cows weak, bulls weak to $1 lower and stock cows and pairs poorly tested. Receipts totaled 2000 head, around 75 percent feeders, 20 percent slaughter cows and bulls and five percent stock cows and pairs.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 40-60 lbs. $109-114,50, 60-70 lbs. $104-110, few $112-115, 70-80 lbs. $97-105, few $111-112, 80-90 lbs. $94-100, few $102-105, 90-100 lbs. $91-99; medium and large No. 2 40-60 lbs. $95-106, 60-70 lbs. $98-100, 70-90 lbs. $88-93.

Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 shorn and wooled 90-130 lbs. 485-91, good and choice 1-2 80-100 lbs. $94-101; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $26-29, good 2-3 $29-37, utility and good 1-3 $35-47.75, utility 1-2 $25-35, cull and utility 1-2 $19-25; bucks $28-41.

Stock ewes: medium and large 1-2 babytooth to solidmouth $65-90 per head; bucks $90-185.
